7 days...UNTIL CHICAGO TIME BABY!!! Kenny informed me that we got rooms in the Hilton for $30 a NIGHT! (YEA KENNY!) Randy got it for us. (YEA RANDY!!!) On Travelocity.com (YEA TRAVELOCITY DOT COM!) With the usual basketball crew (3-4 per room) that means 10 bucks per night!!! SMART VERY SMART!!!

I think deep down inside I have to remind myself that i'm not the brightest bulb in the pack every now and then. Perfect example: I was standing at the desert bar in the Beaumont cafe the other day...

John: "Mmmmmm Apple pie...DOH! APPLE CRUMB PIE!?!?!? WALNUTS!?!?!?!? AH-WHAAT!"

[John walks around the cafe to see what else there is to eat...comes back with a tray full of food to pick up something else for desert.]

John: "Mmmmmm Apple pie...DOH! APPLE CRUMB PIE!?!?!? WALNUTS!?!?!?!? AH-WHAAT! Well...maybe I won't be allergic to it THIS time."

20 mins later...

John: "MY THROAT ITCHES...IT ITCHES!!! IT IIIIIIT-CHEEEEEEEEEZ!!!!"

THE END

They say there's no cure for stupidity. My mommy just says I'm special.

Weekend review: Good-Great

I think I have come to judge the quality of my trips by the enjoyablity of the foods I eat there. I ate at Todai's for the first time this weekend. Over all it was pretty good. Good selection of foods. I guess what ruined it for me was the raw squid salad. I almost yakked.

But the time spent with friends was excellent! I LOVE GERALD AND VIV!!! It was great seeing them. And "helping" Joyce move down was a very enjoyable trip too. I don't think she really needed me...and now I feel I may have invited myself more than she wanted me to go. All I moved was 7 pieces of luggage. Which totaled less than 200lbs of stuff. Very light and very easy.

Vietnamese: $30

Wanton Noodle shop: $25

Todai: $100

Dim Sum: $27

Cheese Cake Factory: $95

Korean Food: ??? Treated by Gerald. (Thanks G)

Food Total for the Weekend: $277

John spent: $0.00

Joyce spent: $277.00

Not bad for moving a coupla pieces of stuff huh? THANKS JOYCE!!
